Can schools from outside the Midwest region participate?
Currently, registration is open to schools in the Midwest region of Ireland, but we plan to expand the program nationally in the future.
How do I register my school for the programme?
To register, visit the ‘Register’ page, fill out the form with your school’s details, and select your preferred participation package. Once registered, you’ll receive confirmation and further instructions.
What is the duration of the programme?
The programme runs for 5-6 weeks, with weekly lessons and activities. Specific dates may vary depending on the selected package.
What do schools need to provide to participate?
Schools only need to ensure they have a teacher or staff member to oversee the programme. All materials, including workbooks and videos, will be provided.
Are there any specific resources needed for the programme?
We provide all necessary materials such as first aid kits, video lessons, and workbooks. However, we recommend having basic classroom supplies like pens, paper, and a digital projector and sound system to screen the video lessons. Schools also need to have means of screening the video lessons with audio.
What topics are covered in the programme?
The programme covers first aid topics, including how to call an ambulance, treat fractures and sprains, and care for wounds. It also includes lessons on the human body, such as caring for skin and maintaining a healthy heart.
Is the programme suitable for pupils with special needs?
Yes, the programme is designed to be accessible and adaptable for all students. Materials can be tailored to meet the needs of students with different learning styles and educational needs.
How will the programme impact pupils?
